THE CHALLENGE: Dead Sour, a new sour candy brand, needed a visual identity that would resonate with its core audience of teenagers and young adults. The challenge was to create a bold and edgy brand look that would stand out in a crowded candy market while appealing to the target demographic’s taste for playful, extreme, and fun visuals. The design also had to be flexible enough for use across different flavors and promotional materials, ensuring consistent brand recognition.
THE SOLUTION: I developed a punchy, minimal visual identity for Dead Sour, featuring chunky sans serif typography and a funky grim reaper mascot that perfectly captured the brand’s edgy yet playful personality. The design was bold and attention-grabbing, appealing directly to the teen and young adult audience. The versatile logo and graphic elements were created to be easily repurposed for various flavors and promotional campaigns, giving the brand flexibility while maintaining a consistent and recognizable look across all platforms.
